One of Nigeria’s leading carriers, United Nigeria Airlines, has congratulated Ibom Air on its seventh anniversary.
The airline’s executive chairman, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, described the milestone as a testament to strong leadership and team dedication.
In a goodwill message addressed to Ibom Air’s Managing Director, Mr. George Uriesi, Okonkwo praised the airline for navigating what he described as “a challenging operating environment” with resilience.
Okonkwo said the success Ibom Air has achieved is a testament of Uriesi’s visionary leadership, and the dedication of his team.
Thr steady growth recorded by Ibom Air, the Akwa Ibom State-owned carrier, since its inaugural flight in 2019 to become a leading name in Nigerian domestic aviation, prompted Okonkwo to use the occasion to urge the Ibom Air team to maintain its standard.

The success Ibom Air has achieved is a testament to your visionary leadership, and the dedication of your team. You have navigated the turbulence of a challenging operating environment with resilience and for that, you have our deepest respect. As you mark this milestone, I charge you and the entire team to keep the flame of excellence burning. Congratulations and cheers to many more years ahead.”
