Nigerian, Israeli scientists ink research, study agreements

Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences

In a quest to promote the research and study of physical sciences in Nigeria, The Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences (NSPS) www.nsps.org.ng has signed a collaboration agreement with the Israel Physical Society (IPS).

The two national societies agreed that members of one society will be entitled to discount rates in membership registration and registration fee for conferences organised by either society.

With this collaboration, members of IPS would be treated as an ordinary member of NSPS. This would also  be applicable to NSPS members at IPS organised programmes.

In a statement made available to African Business Travel News( ABTN), NSPS said the collaboration, when harnessed, would advance  knowledge and capacities of Nigerian researchers.

“As we know, Israel is well known for its advancement in science and engineering and, sharing ideas with the research communities in Israel will considerably advance the knowledge and capabilities of Nigeria researchers. The collaboration of NSPS and IPS will enable Nigerian Physical Scientists to communicate and relate with Israeli Physical Scientist on their research interests and fosters research collaboration among members of the two national scientific societies. Undoubtedly, it will speed up research progress, promote shared scientific credits and enhance more discoveries in shorter time period,” the statement said.
