NCAA-FAAN team inspects MAKIA new terminal ahead of commissioning

Begins inspection tour of facilities at 23 airports in preparation for Xmas rush

 

A joint team of  aviation experts from Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has gone on facility tour of  the newly constructed world class terminal at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano, ahead of its commissioning this weekend.

This is just as a team from FAAN on Monday began a ten day facility tour of 23 federal airports in the country in preparation for the huge air traffic expected during  the yuletide season as well as the level of compliance with covid-19 protocols at the airports.

The FAAN delegation was led by its Managing Director/Chief Executive,  Capt. Rabiu Yadudu.

At the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Jos, yesterday, the Yadudu who used the opportunity to address members of staff at the airport, assured them that Management will continue to prioritize staff welfare and improve on their conditions of service.

He enjoined them to continue to discharge their duties with the highest level of professionalism and dedication.

According to a statement by the spokesperson at FAAN, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, the team, which also included the FAAN’s Directors of Finance, Mrs. Nike Aboderin; Engineering Services, Engr. Salisu Nurudeen Daura; Commercial and Business Development, Mr. Sadiku Abdulkadir Rafindadi; Airport Security Services, Group Captain Usman Abubakar Sadiq( Rtd); Airport Operations, Capt. Mukthar Muye; Human Resources, Mr. Norris Anozie; and Legal Adviser, Dr. Clifford Omozeighan would be proceeding to Bauchi, Kaduna, Gombe and Maiduguri airports, before taking another batch of airports.

FAAN has reiterated that it is committed to her core values of safety, security and comfort as it continues to upgrade facilities at the airports.
