NCAA begins investigation into United Nigeria diverted flight

NCAA issued an All Operators Letter (AOL) 070 requiring mandatory compliance with the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Emergency Airworthiness Directive by all operators in Nigeria forthwith.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has begin investigation into the circumstances surrounding United Nigeria flight NUA 0506 to Asaba and the confusion it has created in the public domain.

A statement signed by the Director General of NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu has confirmed.

The statement however affirmed that preliminary steps have been taken pending conclusions of ongoing investigation. The Authority wishes to reassure the traveling public that it will leave no stone unturned as it has always done in the past to ensure continued safety of the aviation industry.
