The management of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria ( FAAN) briefly shutdown the temporary The Temporary Terminal (T3) of Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos after an electrical spark occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
However, Electrical maintenance is currently ongoing at the terminal to ensure that all electrical systems function optimally ahead of the reopening of the terminal.
MMIA was briefly shut down following an electrical spark in an operational office, which resulted in smoke emission at about 14:05 hours.

FAAN said all flights that currently operate to and from the terminal 3 have been diverted to Terminal 2 while passengers are hereby advised accordingly.
The situation is under control, as personnel of the Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS) promptly responded and contained the incident.
