Kaduna set to handle foreign airlines operations — FAAN

As the nation prepares to close Abuja airport  runway for rehabilitation on Tuesday night, Federal AirportAuthority of Nigeria ( FAAN ) has assured the world that the Kaduna airport which will serve as the alternate airport during the construction,  is ready to take all the foreign airlines expected to  operate there without hitch.

The assurance was giving by the managing Director of FAAN, Engr. Saleh Dunoma while sspeaking with aviation  correspondents in Kaduna airport shortly after the acting President Prof Yemi Osibajo  inspected the level  of on going works in preparations of the airport to take overAbuja airport operations

Dunoma said  FAAN has provide everything needed for seamless operations of foreign airlines in Kaduna airport.

 According to him, “we are  ready to take foreign airlines, all the things that they need for international operations are on ground, what is important actually, is the safety equipment they need, the InstrumentsLanding System (ILS),  has been installed, the runway is good, the terminal building will be ready in the next five days, the acting president has directed the contractors to complete some items before the commencement of international flights.The foreign airlines have agreed, that is why they are here, they will be conducted round the facility.

“The contractors have been directed by the acting president to complete in five days. I wouldn’t know which of the foreign airlines have finalised their decision to come but all of them are here today”, he said.
