International Women’s Day 2019: Dana Air supports entrepreneurs, Women in media initiative

As Nigeria joins the world to celebrate International Women’s Day 2019,  today. Dana Air said it  has supported  Women in Media Development initiative 2019 and Women Entrepreneur Fair, scheduled to hold on March 29 and 39 at the Justice Idris Kutigi Conference Centre in Minna, Niger State.

The Women Entrepreneur Fair (WEF), an initiative of the Airmingle Media ltd is aimed at training, empowering and showcasing female entrepreneurs, women in business and encouraging them to come together and share their experiences in order to shape the thought of young women in business.

The founder of WEF, Hajarah Alhassan, while speaking on the airline’s support for the event said, ‘’ we have chosen Dana Air to fly our participants and we thank the airline for always showing commitment to anything and everything that concerns women particularly women entrepreneurs.

We are grateful to the airline because we initiated this programme to enlighten, empower and showcase women entrepreneurs so that they can be funded by individuals, corporate, organizations or government’.

Similarly, the airline has also supported the Women in Media Development Initiative held earlier in the year as part of its commitment to the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration tagged ‘Balanceforbetter’’

The WIMDI which held in partnership with Women FM, is designed to Assist, motivate, promote and reward excellence among members through consistent and effective training locally and
internationally

Commenting on Dana Air’s support for both initiatives, The Media and Communications Manager of the Dana Air, Kingsley Ezenwa said Nigerian women are strong, courageous and industrious and any form of bias against them is highly unacceptable to us at Dana Air.

We believe that giving the women equal support and opportunities is a panacea for a better and balanced society and this also resonates with the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day celebration’’
