Group  commends Capt Musa Nuhu for outstanding leadership at NCAA

The Director General, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Musa Nuhu

A group of professionals in the aviation industry in Nigeria has lauded the Director General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Musa Nuhu for the outstanding leadership qualities he has provided since he took over the mantle of leadership of the aviation agency.
The group affirmed that the Director General has boosted the morale of the workers, both on junior and senior cadres, by creating an atmosphere where workers are ready to give their best to attaining the goals of the organization.
The group under the aegis of “Advocates” in an interactive session with some aviation journalists recently, noted that apart from promoting training and retraining of workers in the agency, the number one safety officer in the aviation industry in Nigeria, has created a niche for himself  with the prompt attention he gives to the critical health needs of members of staff and their families.
The group also mentioned that Capt Nuhu has, since becoming the Director General of the CAA, worked tirelessly to ensure that the entire organization is fully digitalized to attain the highest standard level found at any Civil  Aviation Authority anywhere in the world.
With this hindsight, the Advocates affirmed that the Director General of NCAA has started a programme which would enable every member of staff to be Information Technology compliant within the shortest time possible.

The group also noted that Capt Nuhu has reintroduce foreign courses which hitherto had been suspended at NCAA. Though, this at present, is for a cadre of staff, but efforts are on to ensure that it is extended to other cadres in the organization.
Backing the claims of the group on the unparalleled achievements of Captain Musa Nuhu in the last two years of his leadership at NCAA, some members of the group have these to say:
Vice Chairman, Air Transport Service Senior Staff  Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), NCAA Chapter, Comrade Gafar Anifowose, who gave an assessment of Capt Nuhu’s leadership and performances since 2019 he came on board as DG NCAA, said: “Let’s look at the happenings within the CAA in the last two years and compare with what we used to have; workers’ morale has been boosted under Capt Nuhu leadership.  You no longer see workers attending to their assignments without grudges. From the least cadre officers to the highest level career officers and even those on contracts in the organization, everyone is happy and willing to work without compromise. This is possible because staff welfare has enjoyed high level of priority under the administration of Capt. Nuhu. This is because the Director General has started the implementation of the consequential salary adjustment – a feat which is commended among staff members.
In his assessment of the performance of Capt Nuhu within the short period of his leading the organization, another notable member of the advocate group, Danjuma Yahaya noted that the Director General has been outstanding in his response to the critical health needs of the workers. Danjuma affirmed that the NCAA boss, has on many occasions risen up to meet the financial requirements to handle critical health issues of workers when it mattered most.  These, interventions, he noted have saved many lives which could have been lost to financial constraints on the parts of the victims.
In his view,  Dr. Olajide Ayegbusi described Capt Nuhu as God sent: in terms of enforcement of compliance in the industry. Ayegbusi, an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Certified Inspector, said the level at which operators and services providers in the industry comply to Safety Standards and Recommended Practices under the administration of Capt Nuhu in the aviation industry in Nigeria, in the recent time, has attained a benchmark which has never been witnessed in the industry.
For Comrade Abdulkadiri Lawal, Capt Nuhu is outstanding and stands tall  among his peers in the industry worldwide.  Lawal noted that putting human capital in the front burners in the sector has earned him much respect and support among aviation workers not only in NCAA, but the entire industry.
“From the least worker and the most senior career officer and those on contracts in the CAA, everyone is happy and willing to work without compromise,” he added.
The Advocate is a name carefully adopted by a detribalized association of men and women of like minds, across the aviation industry.
Advocate is independent of undue control and interferences in the dealings of issues within and outside her vision but related to human capital encouragements.
Advocate is concerned with advancing human progress across ethnic, religion cum political divides; encompassing ideas of promoting transparency, free expression, reversing inequality and rescuing work environment.
Advocate has a broad range of ideas that allows individuals to achieve their social economic and political aspirations by organizing themselves unhindered to their interests, needs and prioritized  members with their commitments. That be as it may,  the group insisted that the  euphoria  that is constantly been witnessed from workers’ admiration of the performance culture of Capt Musa Nuhu at NCAA calls for its concerns. And such admiration, no doubt, is a renaissance of good performance that must be given attention even in a hurry.
