FAAN assures travellers of seamless passage across its airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), had assured all travellers using its airports during the yuletide season of seamless facitation services. Just as it assured them of their safety and security of their belongings.

The airport Authority which  said it has upgraded its security aparati at every airport under its management however urged passengers to arrive at airport to avoid missing  their flights.

While it advised domestic travellers to arrive at least two hours before their flights, international passengers are advised to arrive at the airport three hours before their flight.

TZZhe airport Authority however enjoined travellers to make sure that nobody assist them to pack their luggage insisted that if anyone needs help, he/she should call the attention of airport officials .

It also advised that passengers must not leave their baggage unattended to warning that any unattended to luggage will not removed and destroyed by security operatives.

FAAN, in a statement signed by its Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection,  Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua, said it has expanded the screening area at the airports in  to give passengers a better flying experience.

Yakubu-Funtua also urged passengers  to  keep an eye on their valuables while passing through screening processes

While he said, “A joint task force at the land side is working relentlessly to ensure the free flow of traffic, passengers and motorists coming to the airports are advised to make use of the provided  parking lots to avoid getting their vehicles towed.

The FAAN’s image maker who warned Air passengers against engaging the service of touts at the airports restated that the management frowns at extortion and has gone an extra mile to engage undercover staff to observe and report every act of misdemeanours at the airports .

It will be recalled that the Managing Director of FAAN, Alhaji Kabir Yusuf Mohammed at a recent event gave severe warning to staff as well as all government agencies operating at airports  under his purview that FAAN will ensure that whoever foumd culpable will be punished.
