An All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant in Ekiti State, Professor Philip Adetiloye has promised provision of jobs for employable youths and graduates in the state if elected as governor during the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Professor Adetiloye made the promise in Igbara Odo, Ekiti State when he led his entourage on a visit to the Elders Forum to present his vision and mission as a governorship aspirant in Ekiti state.

The forum is made up of reputable elders from all the 16 local government areas of the state.

If elected as the next governor of the state this year, the Professor of Agriculture who has an impeccable lecturing career  in many universities for over three decades promised to bring his career experience to into governance in the state by  focusing on job creation for thousands of employable youths and graduates through establishment of modernized /mechanized farming, establishment of agro-allied industries and microfinance banks in all the 16 local government areas of  Ekiti State.

”The microfinance banks will give loans to farmers and owners of businesses, market women and civil servants,” he explained.

The aspirant lamented  the effects of ravaging abject poverty in Ekiti State, which he alleged was compounded by failure of the present administration in the state to pay workers’ salaries and other benefits.

Adetiloye also added that lack of industries to generate employment for thousands of jobless graduates in the state is a product of bad governance resulting from  poor priority setting and financial mismanagement. He  therefore promised to govern Ekiti with visionary leadership  if elected as the governor.

According to him, ”with focus on modernized farming and industrialization, the present pains in Ekiti State would be a thing of the past .
