Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on Friday inspected the ongoing dualisation of the Akure-Idanre Road in Akure.
According to Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor assured residents and road users in the area that the project would be sped up and completed on time.
The governor was conducted round the along Oke Aro sector of the road project by the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr Abiola Olawoye who explained the technical details involved and and progress so far made.
Responding to requests from residents, Aiyedatiwa also assured that some adjoining roads would be constructed to complement the project and improve connectivity in the area.
The governor was accompanied on the inspection by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, and the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac.
