Wife of Dr. Wole Oluyede APC Aspirant, Ekiti State

Wife of an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Mrs. Olukemi Oluyede has been honoured with an award by National Council of Women Society (NCWS) for her contributions to women development in the country.
The award was conferred on her by the Ekiti State Chapter of the woman society.
Presenting the award at the venue of the event held at Ode Ekiti, Chairperson of Gbonyin local government chapter of the NCWS, Mrs. Ogunbolade Grace (JP) said “we fished out the good indigenous and philanthropist in which Mrs. Oluyede is one, and deserves to be honoured.”
In her response after receiving the award, Mrs Oluyede, reiterated her commitment to women development in Ekiti and Nigeria at large.
The awardee who however lamented challenges of gender equality in Nigerian society said, “if countries that are liberated and economically sound could give women reasonable percentage of opportunities to thrive in national development, with our dedications, persistence and seriousness of mind, the issue of
gender inequality could also be drastically reduced if not
eradicated.
The award ceremony was attended by dignitaries and women of substance among whom are Mrs Bukola Olonade, Alhaja Risikat Lawal and Mrs Toyin Adepoju.
The event also featured inauguration of new executives of the chapter.
The Ekiti State chairman of the society, Chief (Mrs.) Bola Alabi said, “The award of honour is presented to Mrs. Oluyede for her contributions towards the development of The National Council of Women Society in Nigeria, at large.”
