
The Lagos Regional Manager, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Barrister Oluwabukola Aduragbemi has received the coveted Air Transport Quarterly (ATQ) Regional Manager of the Year Award for the year 2024.
She was among industry prominent personalities that were honoured at the 4th Air Transport Quarterly Magazine Industry Awards held in Lagos.
The award organised by Air Transport Quarterly (ATQ) was presented to Teriba in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the aviation sector in Nigeria.
The award was presented by the, Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Adeola Fadairo who said Teriba’s eadership, expertise, and collaborative spirit have solidified her reputation as a leading figure in the industry.
Prince Supo Atobatele Publisher/ Editor-in-chief ATQ, organizer of the fourth edition of the awards, highlighted Teriba’s unwavering dedication and expertise, noting her commitment to promoting safety, security, and sustainability in aviation the aviation industry has earned her widespread respect among her peers.
As the Regional Manager, Teriba oversees the regulation and supervision of aviation activities in the South West, ensuring strict adherence to both national and international aviation standards.
In her acceptance speech, visibly humbled Teriba expressed her gratitude to God for the recognition and dedicated the award to Captain Chris Ona Najomo, the Director General of the NCAA, whom she affectionately referred to as “Jolly Papa,” acknowledging his exemplary leadership.
She also extended her appreciation to the entire management team and the dedicated staff of the regional office for their unwavering support and commitment to duty.
“I feel really humbled by this award,” she stated, emphasizing the collective effort behind her achievements.
She added, “I want to dedicate this award to God and the DGCA Captain Chris Najomo, Jolly Papa and his fantastic management team and the regional office team, thank you”.
Following her speech, the enthusiastic NCAA staff present echoed the popular slogan, “Lagos is working, Lagos in Action,” underscoring the spirit of progress and efficiency.
Teriba’s notable achievements include the implementation of effective regulatory measures to enhance air transport safety and security, the facilitation of crucial training and capacity-building programs for aviation personnel, and the fostering of strong collaborative partnerships between the NCAA, airlines, airports, and other key stakeholders.
