SAHCOL handles Fly Mid Africa, two other new airlines

Ethiopian airline moves cargo operations to SAHCOL

The Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL), a member of SIFAX Group of Companies, has won the contract to handle Fly Mid Africa, and two other airlines to its clientele base.
The new clients are Fly Mid Africa, Bristow Helicopter and Hak Air airlines.
Fly Mid Africa is the Gambia’s new national carrier, which has commenced flight services from Banjul, the Gambia capital with onward connections to Dakar, Freetown, Accra and Lagos.
A statement by the handling company’s General Manager, Corporate Communications & IT, Basil Agboarumi said the contracts will see SAHCOL “providing total ground handling services: passenger, ramp and cargo handling, to Fly Mid Africa’s four times in a week flight operations in and out of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

“For Bristow Helicopters, the contract is for the handling of its passengers and ramp operations in Abuja. Bristow Helicopters is a provider of industrial aviation services, offering helicopter transportation
Furthermore, SAHCOL shall provide passenger and ramp handling services for Hak Air in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Uyo. Hak Air is a reputable domestic and regional operator, formed to take advantage of a specific gap in the short-haul domestic travel market in Nigeria, and eventually position itself to fill the void of a major carrier within the West African market.
By these contracts, Agboarumi added that “SAHCOL has been offered the exclusive privilege of providing fast and expedient ground handling services to Fly Mid Africa, Bristow Helicopters and Hak Air’s operations in Nigeria.”
Progressively, SAHCOL has successfully established a very strong market presence in the Domestic and International aviation industry, with an unrivaled delivery of exceptional passenger, ramp and cargo/warehousing services.
SAHCOL therefore continues to be a reference point where the efficacy of a successful flight is born, having over the years implemented structures/ procedures in line with international best practices, leading to expedient and speedy delivery of Aviation Ground Handling services to the delight all its current and prospective customers.
No doubt, after the takeover of SAHCOL by the SIFAX Group in December, 2009, after which the Ground Handling Company became an ISAGO certified operator, SAHCOL has continued to expand and gain credibility of Domestic and International airlines operating within and into Nigeria.
The current face of SAHCOL is a continuous experience of massive deployment of modern state-of-the-art Ground Support Equipment (GSE), infrastructural development and manpower trainings, geared towards its goal of meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations.
SAHCOL, which is an excellent example of a very successful government privatization, is an Aviation Ground Handling company, offering services in Passenger Handling, Ramp Handling, Cargo Handling and Warehousing, Aviation security, Baggage Reconciliation, Crew Bus and Executive Lounge services and other related Ground Handling services; while ensuring that Ground Handling assignment is carried out in an efficient, speedy and safe manner, by deploying appropriate tools.
