The Director General of Civil Aviation, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Chris Najomo, has announced the agency’s willingness to work with the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) to develop a regulatory framework that addresses overlapping roles between the two organizations.

This commitment was made during a courtesy visit by a delegation from NIHOTOUR, led by its Director General, Aare (Dr.) Fagade Abisoye, to Capt. Najomo’s office in Abuja.

Capt. Najomo warmly received the delegation and pledged a smooth partnership, proposing the formation of a committee to review the Acts and regulations governing both agencies.

This initiative aims to clarify and streamline their respective roles to avoid conflicts.

In response, Dr. Abisoye emphasized the importance of this collaboration in strengthening the regulatory framework for the tourism sector. He expressed hope that the two agencies could formalize their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to prevent role encroachment.

Both parties agreed to establish a committee tasked with this objective, with a three-month deadline to submit its findings to the agencies.
