The Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN Alhaji Kabir Yusuf Mohammed has been commended for diligence and dedicated to duties.
The commendation was given on Thursday by a renowned economist, blogger and social commentor, Dr. Tope Fasua on his confirmed Facebook page.
Fasua who described Mohammed as a fantastic guy, repositioning the nation’s airports, reported that the FAAN boss was in the departure hall of Domestic Terminal One, Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos, to monitor and ensure the remodeling he is putting in place works accordingly while passengers’ facilitation remains seamless.
A post on his Facebook page read: “You won’t know that he’s the MD of FAAN. Fantastic guy. You see the repositioning of our airports you’re seeing lately? That man is central to it. He was at Air Peace wing of local airport Lagos today to make sure the remodeling is right and traveller facilitation is seamless.”

He continued, “This is one good Nigerian. Even the new initiative using mystery shoppers to catch workers collecting bribes at our airport. That’s the man…Kabiru Muhammad. Sharp guy.”
The economist added that the Chief Executive of FAAN must have gotten to the terminal by 5 am. On that day; considering the fact that he had watching him moving around in the terminal before he eventually walked to him and took a selfie with him at about 6.00 am

“Mind you that was 6am in the morning. he must have been there since 5am,” Fasua observed.
African Business Travel News ABTNEWS report3d that the Managing Director of FAAN read riot act to airport officials on extortion of passengers.
In the report, Mohammed warned that any airport official caught engaing in any form of extortion would not be spared the consequences of the action.
He told the airport officials that some mystery staff have been employed to monitor their activities and report their findings to the management for necessary action.
