Forty Nigerians deported by italian government have ariived the country.
The deportees who arrived the Nigeria via Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA), Lagos aboard an Air Meridiana’s flight.
The aircraft which touched down at about 20:25 hours West African Time was marked E1-FNU.
While 39 of the deportees were deported for immigration related offences only one had drug related issues
This deportation came barely four days after the United Kingdom Government repatriated 23 Nigerians for similar offencee.
Immigration sources said that the deportees with drug related issues would be handed over to National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further prosecution while the remainong 39 were profiled by the officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service attahed to the airport.
The deportees were shielded from speaking to the media by some security officials at the airport buy most of them were sombred look.
