Invasion of Kaduna airport: NAMA identifies, mourns shot personnel

 

…commiserates with family, legionnaires

The Management of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has identified the security operative killed on Friday by bandits who invaded the site of VHF Omnidirectional Range ( VOR)  equipment in Kaduna Airport as  Mallam Shehu Na’Allah.

Until his death, Mallam Shehu Na’Allah was a member of Nigerian Legion.

In a statement signed by the Acting Managing Director of NAMA, Mr. Mathew Lawrence Pwajok, the agency regretted the untimely death of the security operative in the hands of the bandits.

Pwajok who commiserated with the memebers of family and legionnaires left behind by the deceased, assured the general public that normalcy has since been restored to the airport after security forces stationed around the airport repelled the invading bandits.

“It is with a deep sense of sorrow and regret that the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency announce the death of one of our security operative (Legionnaire), Mallam Shehu Na’Allah.

“Mallam Na’Allah was shot in an attack by bandits on Friday, March 25, 2022 while on security duty at Navigational equipment site (VOR) in the vicinity of Kaduna Airport and died on the way to the hospital.

“The Management and Staff of NAMA commiserate with the entire staff of NAMA, the Nigerian Legion and more especially with the family and relatives of Mallam Shehu Na’Allah and pray the Almighty to grant him paradise and comfort those he left behind.

“NAMA wishes to assure the general public that security forces stationed around the airport repelled the attack and normalcy has been restored,” Pwajok said.

The NAMA’s Chief Executive Officer also used the opportunity to express the agency’s immense appreciation to staff for their selfless service, and hereby reassure them of the Agency’s unwavering commitment to their welfare, as well as collaborative efforts towards providing a safe and secure working environment.
