FAAN reiterates commitment to cordial relationship with aviation labour unions

The President of Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association (ATSSSAN), Mr. John Ogbe, in recognition of Managing Director/ Chief Executive of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs Olubunmi Kuku’s outstanding contributions and support for staff welfare and institutional development, presented her a portrait during the courtesy visit to her at FAAN”s Lagos headquarters on Tuesday.

 

The Managing Director/ Chief Executive of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs Olubunmi Kuku has reiterated the commitment of her management to maintain cordial working relationship with labour unions in the aviation industry.

She made the commitment when the newly elected executive officers of Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) led by the president Mr. John Ogbe, paid a courtesy visit to her at the headquarters of the airport Authority in Lagos on Tuesday.

Speaking during the visit Mrs.  Kuku ccongratulated the newly elected ATSSSAN President Mr. John Ogbe, and charged him and his executive team to lead the Union with dignity, fairness, and equity in the overall interest of members and the aviation industry. She reaffirmed FAAN Management’s readiness to sustain a cordial and productive working relationship with ATSSSAN.

Earlier, ATSSSAN, during he  visit,  expressed profound appreciation to the FAAN MD/CE for her continuous support and commitment to the welfare and growth of the Union and her members. It also commended the Mrs Kuku’s  leadership style, which it noted has continued to foster mutual respect, trust, and effective collaboration between management and organised labour.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions and support for staff welfare and institutional development, ATSSSAN presented Mrs. Kuku with an award of excellence

The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties restating their commitment to sustained dialogue, cooperation, and the continuous advancement of the aviation sector.

Present during the visit were Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Samuel Olatiregun; the Director of Commercial and Business Development, Ms. Joy Agunbiade; and the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Henry Agbebire.
