In its bid to conform to global trends and international best practices in passenger facilitation in airport service delivery, the management of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has commissioned three ultra-modern carousels and conveyor belts at the D-Arrivals of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The new equipment was unveiled today by the Managing Director of FAAN, Engr. Saleh Dunoma.
The newly deplored facilities which would reduce delays and fast track departure formalities of arriving passengers, are among many projects embarked by the Federal government to improve passengers’ facilitation at the airports in the face of growing air passenger traffic in the African fastest growing economy.
Also the facility is deployed as part of the readiness of the FAAN to meet with the huge inbound passengers and luggage traffic expected in the airport as the yuletide season approaches.
The Authority assures all airport users of improved quality services in line with global best practices as we are not unmindful of the need to provide world class facilities inspite of the economic challenges facing the country.
Present at the event were General Manager, Mechanical, Engr. Ephraim Nwodo, Chief of Staff to the Managing Director, Mahmuda Zakari, Director, Finance & Accounts, Nike Aboderin, Regional General Manager, Sola Adugbemi, Airport Manager, Nehemiah Auta, International Terminal Manager, Joke Olatunji, officials of airlines and other service providers.
