Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has attributed the slow pace of passenger facilitation currently experienced by airlines, passengers  and other stakeholders at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos to challenge of upgrading process on the facilities. .

In a statement signed by its spokeswoman, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, today, the management of FAAN which regretted the inconveniences caused as a result of the slow pace of the checking in facility at the airport, appealed to the stakeholders to bear with it saying it would soon be a thing of the past as the new terminal in the airport would soon be put to use.

“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) hereby appeals to airlines, passengers and all other stakeholders at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos to please bear with the Authority as some facilities at the airport are functioning below capacity due to system upgrade challenges, thereby slowing the pace of passenger facilitation,” FAAN said.

“While the Authority is doing everything possible to commission the brand new international terminal in Lagos as soon as possible to reduce the stress on our customers, we are also working assiduously to ensure that the aged equipment/facilities at the old terminal are maintained in optimal working Conditions
Please do bear with us.!”
