Wife of Dr. Wole Oluyede APC Aspirant, Ekiti State

The wife of the most prominent All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Mrs. Olukemi Oluyede has called on women in the state to support her husband’s aspiration the governorship ambition of her husband, Dr Wole Oluyede.
Speaking at a forum of Ekiti APC Women Stakeholders yesterday held at the party’s Secretariat, Ajilosun, Ado Ekiti, Mrs. Oluyede called on women in the state to engage in active participation in politics, She advised women to stop playing back roles in governance.
Assuring Ekiti women of considerable improvement and good standard of living in her husband administration, she explained that good programmes that would better the lives of women are input into Oluyede Ekiti Rebirth Agenda.
‘’the programmes would be executed immediately Oluyede assumes office’’
She said ‘considering the roles of women in the home fronts, as helpers to the husbands, it is high time, women become financially capable ,firm and stable’’ she added that a lot of entrepreneurship programmes and opportunities are in place to support women and enable them play their roles.
The programmes, she enumerated, entail skill acquisition, self employment programmes, foreign programmes on economic development, cooperative programme and many more in the pipeline for women to enjoy during Oluyede-led administration.
She noted that a cooperative society has also been spearheaded by her to boost the finances of Ekiti women already in businesses.
Mrs. Oluyede who stressed the enormity in the roles of women in home building highlighted the importance in the proper training of a female child in order to have a good nation, she therefore declared her support for any woman who has political aspiration, just as the aspirant’s wife emphatically stated that’’ women financial capability and active participation in politicking do not amount to insubordination to husbands.” Insisted, ‘’husbands are the heads of homes’’.
The programme was attended by women politicians across the three Senatorial districts in the state.
The APC Deputy Chairman- Mrs Kemisola Olaleye in her response described Mrs. Oluyede as a good representative of women, she said’’ Mrs. Oluyede is an advocate of women folks, reliable and dependable, she has never mince her words on the plans for Ekiti women: a demonstration that indicates commitment and seriousness in the cause of women development’’
She urged the Aspirant’s wife to remember the promises when her husband emerges as the next governor in the state.
Mrs Olaleye therefore, called on all Ekiti women to support the aspiration of Dr Wole Oluyede, who everybody believes will take the state to the promise land.
Also in attendance, Ekiti State APC women leader, Mrs. Modupe Bakare who urged women to embrace politics, charged them on commitment and dedication.
