As Nigeria joins the rest of the world in preparations for the celebration of Eid-El-Fitri, which marks the end of the Ramadan fasting, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has urged passengers using its airports to abide by the Covid-19 protocols.
This was made known by the airport authority in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, a copy of which was made available to African Business Travel News (ABTN).
“Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) wishes to advice passengers and airport users to abide by all laid down protocols on Covid-19 while using the airports,” the statement said.
Assuring that it has put adequate measures in place to guarantee the safety and security of airport users during and after the celebration, FAAN noted that recent developments in some parts of the world with respect to the Covid-19 pandemic requires that all hands must be on deck.
Also the airport authority advised passengers to leave their homes early enough, get to the airports and complete all check-in formalities in good time to avoid missing their flights.
