Operator of Nigeria’s premier airport terminal, Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2, (MMA2), Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) has reaffirmed its commitment to the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and visitors within and around our terminal.
The assurance was reiterated in a statement, on Friday, by BASL spokesperson, Mrs Ajoke Yinka-Adewuyi.
Adewuyi who recalled that the terminal has maintained a robust surveillance system to address customers complaints, and ensuring safety and security within and around the terminal, noted that the terminal has fortified furher with more advanced security measures and apparati.
“We are proud to emphasize that MMA2 has long maintained a robust surveillance system, including CCTV cameras, which have been pivotal in addressing customer complaints and theft claims effectively, thus ensuring a safe and secure environment.
In recent months, MMA2 has further fortified its security infrastructure with additional measures to complement our existing surveillance system. This includes the deployment of highly trained security personnel and conducting Awareness Security Awareness Training for all tenants and concessionaires of the terminal.
“These enhancements, alongside our existing CCTV surveillance, have yielded significant results in addressing alleged theft incidents within and around the terminal,” she noted.
She added that the security measures in place have played crucial roles leading to identifying and arrest of individuals involved in security breaches at the terminal.
“Our comprehensive security measures have played a crucial role in identifying and apprehending individuals involved in criminal activities, thereby deterring future incidents, and fostering a safer environment for all.
“We acknowledge the importance of upholding a secure and reliable environment for our passengers and stakeholders, and we remain dedicated to continually enhancing our security protocols to effectively counter evolving threats,” the spokesperson for the terminal said.
She continued, “At MMA2, safety and security are paramount, and we spare no effort in ensuring that our terminal remains a secure and welcoming space for all. We urge the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to our dedicated security personnel for immediate action.”
She therefore expressed the gratitude of the management of the terminal to its valued passengers, partners, and stakeholders for their unwavering support and cooperation as we collectively uphold the highest standards of security and safety at MMA2.
