Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, University of Lagos, Dr. Wale Babalakin has emphasised the need for Nigerians who want to be successful in life to be hardworking, dedicated to duty and consistent in whatever they do.
This, Babalakin added, would be recognised at the appropriate time.
He spoke at a dinner organised by his law firm, Babalakin and Co, for one of its partners, Tola Oshobi, who was recently elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
He said: “We have come to celebrate hard work because I have never seen a young man who is so committed to his work. We have come to celebrate loyalty because you can never find a more dependable ally than Tola Oshobi. We have come to celebrate tolerance and consideration for others.
“We have been fortunate in our chambers to produce four SANs directly and another four indirectly. And this to me is a big achievement.”
Babalakin urged Oshobi to keep up the good work that earned him the elevation to the rank of SAN and implored other young lawyers to make hard work their watchword.
