…As Ekiti draws supports for aspirant

For the Ekiti All Progressives Congress (APC) to return to power in Ekiti State come 2018,unity within the party is germane. This was the remark of one of the party’s governorship aspirants, Dr Wole Oluyede during the Ekiti Central Senatorial meeting which came up on Sunday at Ifetayo Cooperative and multi purpose hall, Odo Ado,Ado Ekiti.
The meeting was attended by a large turnout of the supporters and sympathizers of the governorship ambition of Dr Wole Oluyede.
. Oluyede who declared that “only the APC can redeem Ekiti State from its present economic slumber,” said he is happy about the unity and love among the party’s aspirants.
He therefore appealed to the party to stand as one and be united in order to achieve electoral victory, saying “APC is one family that has one common enemy to chase out.’
’The aspirant charged the supporters on love and peaceful mobilization, also prayed for God’s protection on the party and its members during and after the electioneering campaigns.
Commending the state and local government executives of the party for a job well done, Oluyede urged people of Ekiti to be patient and optimistic as ‘’hopes await them in the Ekiti rebirth political agenda’’
Some of the party’s stalwarts who attended the senatorial meeting included, Ekiti Central Senatorial Chairman, Chief George Ojo, members of Ekiti Elders forum, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, Chief L A Akintola, Professor Agbalajobi, Alhaji Dayo Ajayi, the chairman of Afenifere in Ekiti state – Elder Alade, Mrs. Ronke Okusanya,, Hon Gbadebo Titus, from Okemesi Ekiti, Otunba J F Alake from Efon Alaaye among others. Members of the party’s state executives also graced the occasion.
The meeting was also attended by other aspirants or their representatives from outside the senatorial district in the state.
Aspirants in attendance were Hon Muyiwa Olumilua, Barrister Victor Kolade, Dr Wole Oluyede, Engineer Kayode Ojo, Akinyede Folorunso (represented), Dr Oluwole Oluleye (represented) and Hon Bimbo Daramola (represented).
Speaking at the meeting, the party’s publicity secretary in the state, Rt. Honourable Taiwo Olatunbosun declared that the present administration in the state has failed the entire people of Ekiti.
He stated that Fayose’s administration has plunged the state into economic hardship out of selfish interest and misappropriation of funds,
Olatunbosun who insisted that there was no time that the APC- led administration at the federal abandoned Ekiti, ‘’ all the federal projects in Ekiti are under the watch of the federal government , the rehabilitations of the federal roads are sponsored by the federal government, he noted that ‘’ the federal government has started housing projects in Ekiti state .
He added that ‘’Diversion and inflation of funds of the federal projects by Ekiti state government necessitates the arrest of Ekiti state commissioner for finance and Accountant general, on whom the ‘’EFCC has evidences.”
Olatunbosun who condemned Fayose led administration over non payment of workers’ salary, said ‘’Fayose launched presidential ambition at the expense of workers’ salaries”.
The party’s spokesperson in the state declared that ‘’ the credit of WAEC/ NECO good results of Ekiti students should be given to Dr Kayode Fayemi, who laid the solid foundation in education in the state that earned the students good grades’’
Olatunbosun who urged the APC members to be good ambassadors of the party charged them on the use of social media.
He therefore called APC to start mobilizing candidates in their various wards for registration of aspirants in preparation for local government election.
