Operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Command, have arrested a driver of a top aviation agency in Nigeria for drug trafficking.
The driver who was arrested with parcel of a proscribed drug concealed in his official vehicle is helping the anti-narcotics agency in its investigations.
A reliable industry source told africanbusinestravel.com.ng that the driver was arrested after the proscribed drug was detected in his vehicle around 12 midnight and early hours of today while attempting to beat security network in the airport.
A call made to the Commander of the anti narcotics agency in the airport to confirm the arrest didn’t get through.
However, reliable sources within the airport which claimed the suspect was arrested by operatives of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Aviation Security personnel (AVSEC), added that investigations into the crime are ongoing.
