Begining from December 5, 2022, Nigeria’s oldest aviation company, Aero Contractors airline will
relaunch its scheduled services in the country starting with six aircraft to ten destinations.
It would be recalled that the management of the airline suspended its scheduled services on July 20, 2022 to restructure and reposition the airline.
Having satisfied regulatory requirements, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) gave approval for the airline to resume scheduled operations.
A statement by SY&T Communications informed that Aero Contractors will relaunch its scheduled services with Boeing 737 and Dash 8 (Q- 300/400) servicing the following ten destinations Warri, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Benin, Yola, Sokoto, Kano, Asaba and Calabar.
The statement informed that the Erstwhile Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the airline, Capt. Ado Sanusi and a new Chief Finance Officer, Mr Charles Grant are piloting the re-launch.
In his speech at a brief gathering described as a thanksgiving and prayer session to herald the relaunch of the airline to scheduled operations, Sanusi who said the airline has received divine blessings to relaunch its services, affirmed that the Aero Contractors has returned to offer better services to its teeming passengers.
He commended Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), management and staff of the airline for their immense contributions towards the return of the airline to scheduled services.
“We are pleased and delighted to resume full services after a few
months. We have decided to
invite our respected spiritual leaders to come and pray for us, so
that we can secure divine guidance, protection and blessings before
launching our services.
“We thank all our stakeholders who have been supportive, particularly the NCAA, our management and staff. I admit that we missed our customers dearly and we are back bigger and better to serve them better,” he said.
Aero Contractors airline has four business development units, namely; the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), the fixed Wing airline operations, the Rotary Wing helicopter services and the Aero Training School.
