ACI Africa launches virtual classes

 

As part of efforts at pursuing its prime objective to advance the interests of African airports and to promote professional excellence in airport management and operations on the African continent,  Airport  Council  International (ACI Africa) has launched a series of courses through instructor-led virtual classes.

The virtual classes  will use an online platform to allow for high interactions between the instructor and the participants, and with almost a similar experience to in-class training.

A statement  signed by ACI Africa Secretary General, Tounsi Ali, said each course consists of 15 hours online interaction with a highly qualified instructor and 15 hours offline for individual and/or group coursework.  Coursework includes a minimum of two individual assignments and a PowerPoint presentation, either individually or in group on the last day.

The courses according to Ali, are:

1. Gestion des crises AVSEC

2. Planification des mesures d’urgence aéroportuaire

3. Safety Management System Advanced

4.Limitation et suppression des obstacles

5. Normes et pratiques recommandées de l’Annexe 14

6. Limitation et suppression des obstacles

7. Annex 14 and its applications on the airside

The statement added that a Certificate will be awarded to all successful participants at the end of the course.
