Max air, one of the leading airlines designated to airlift pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2022, said it has concluded all arrangements to commence the airlift of pilgrims with effect from tomorrow.
The airline said it has mobilized all its technical, flight and cabin crew as well as ground staff for the exercise.
A statement by the media consultant to the airline, Ibrahim Dahiru said Max Air is allocated with 16,000 intending pilgrims from 13 states of the federation by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for the 2022 Hajj operation.
Dahiru noted that Max Air will airlift intending pilgrims Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Taraba, Kogi, Niger, Kwara, Jigawa. Katsina, Benue, Plateau, Borno and Nasarawa States.
“The airline intends to operate the 2022 hajj airlifts with two Boeing 747–400 aircraft.
“The aircraft will be positioned in the early hours of Thursday June 9, 2022 in Maiduguri, Borno State for the airlift of the first batch of Nigerian pilgrims to the holy land,” the airline’s spokesman stated.
Max Air has Since 2007 taken a lead in the airlift of pilgrims not only from Nigeria but other African countries to Saudi Arabia.
The airline is also involved in charter and evacution operations in other parts of the world.
