NCAT introduces online, virtual trainings

Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria has introduced online and virtual training programmes for its students.

The introduction of the new system is to enable the aviation training centre of excellence to forge ahead in its bid to impact knowledge as COVID -19 pandemic ravages the world.

Rector of the college, Captain Abdullsalami Mohammed who made this known while interacting with journalists in his office in Zaria on the development in the college, said the introduction of the online and virtual training system is as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic which has grounded eductional activities around the world.
He said, NCAT would always  observe the COVID-19 protocols such as wearing of facemasks, washing of hands, social distancing and crowd avoidance for the safety of both staff and students .
The Rector also said, the college would soon open a new school for airport emergency training, security personnel in aviation and airline transport license which are equivalence of master’s degree programmes
He added that two new courses multi crew coordination and Jet Orientation for pilots, aimed at preparing newly graduated pilots for employment,  have been introduced at the college.

According to him, the newly introduced courses would run for a period of two years even as he said more courses and schools would soon be introduced  in the college.

Captain Abdulsalami Mohammed affirmed that NCAT as a training institute would always encourage state Governors, private companies and well meaning Nigerians to sponsor indigent students for courses on the courses.
