Ethiopian Airlines links Nigeria to its global network from September 7

Effective September 7, 2020, Africa’s largest Airline, Ethiopian Airlines will link Nigeria to its Global Network of over 70 destinations that are opened for flights including Toronto, Washington DC, Chicago, Newwark, London, Paris, Manchester.

While flights from Abuja would  resume on September 7 the Lagos operations would commence on September 8.

While Abuja will be serviced with the Airbus A350 everyday, Lagos will be serviced with B777 Aircraft four (4) times Weekly.

It would be recalled that during the lockdown Ethiopian Airlines handled evacuation flights from America and Nigeria on behalf of the Nigerian and American governments.

Before the closure of the Nigetian airspace to scheduled flights, Ethiopian Airlines maintained flights to Lagos,Abuja,Enugu and Kano.

A statement signed by Tilahun Tadesse on behalf of  Ethiopian Airlines in Nigeria said, “for now,  the airline would be flying to only Lagos and Abuja airports as approved airports by the Federal government.

“The Airline will be providing its known World Class Services to Passengers while respecting the Rules and Protocols imposed by the Countries.”
