Ethiopian Airlines evacuates USA, Canadian citizens from Nigeria

As the entire world struggles to survive under the siege  of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, governments of United States of America (USA)  and Canada today evacuated their citizens residing in Nigeria.

While the USA evacuated 385 of her citizens residing in the country,  Canada evacuated 200.

The airlifts were carried out with flights operated by Ethiopian Airlines

The USA bound flight  was operated with a B777-300 which departed Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia enroute Washington DC.

While the Canada bound flight was operated  with a B767 Aircraft.

The Canadians boarded their flights  at Murtala Muhammed International, Lagos and Nnamdi  Azikwe International Airport, Abuja to Addis Ababa enroute Toronto , Canada.

It would be recalled that besides the two North American countries,  France, Lebanon, United Kingdom and Germany are some of  countries which have evacuated their citizens from Nigeria in the last one week following the out break of the dread disease.
