NCAA to implement aviation gender equality, promotion of women in STEM education- New DG

NCAA issued an All Operators Letter (AOL) 070 requiring mandatory compliance with the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Emergency Airworthiness Directive by all operators in Nigeria forthwith.

As the world celebrates year 2020 edition of  International Women’s Day (IWD), Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has said it would prioritise gender gender Equality programs and promotion of women in STEM education.

The assurance was given by Director General of NCAA, Capt  Musa Nuhu in a statement today mark the celebrations of the  International Women Day (IWD202)

In line with the theme of this year’s celebration Nuhu said: “In alignment with #IWD 2020 Theme: Generation Equality, NCAA is fully committed to the implementation of the Aviation Gender Equality Program as well as the promotion of women in STEM education”.

The Director General who said the contributions of women to the development of Aviation cannot be overemphasised added, “The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in alliance with the international civil aviation community celebrates the International Women’s Day 2020
#IWD 2020: I AM GENERATION EQUALITY: Realizing Women’s Rights.
“We recognize women as the bedrocks of all successful societies and on this day, we acknowledge and appreciate their contributions towards the development of the aviation industry”.
