Managements of Federal Airports Authority Nigeria (FAAN) and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja have been commended for ensuring security at the airport.
The commendation was made by a Nigerian airport user who left a piece of luggage in the Abuja airport and returned to meet it intact.
The passenger who described the Nigerians working at the airport as good ambassadors of Nigeria, posted his commendation on a United Kingdom based WhatsApp group’s platform which yours sincerely is a member, regular contributor and commentator.
According to the airport user: “INDEED! Nigeria, good people, great nation. I went in company of a brother and friend, Itusile Ekiti to pick a boss, Dr. Lee Badeji from the UK 🇬🇧 at the Abuja airport around 5.30am today, unfortunately, we left a luggage with valuables. On discovery at the hotel, we hurriedly drove down to the airport. Graciously, some job-seeking guys who usually loiter around the airport saw the luggage at the parking lot and took it back to the trolley guys. Guess what? We met the luggage with every valuable INTACT! Nigerians indeed are replete with good people with great minds. Don’t buy into that mischief out there that we are bad people. There are bad eggs everywhere. The Aviation Security Unit guys are doing wonderful job. At the their office, we were shown other valuables that had been in their custody for months with no one to claim same. Nigerians are good people. I love Nigeria. I’m proud to identify with Nigeria. #ProudlyNigerian,”
Posts like this need to be encouraged. We have good Nigerians everywhere contributing in other similar manner that are never acknowledged. We should keep up this momentum despite all the odds of trying to potray our cauntry in the bad light.GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!
