Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Captain Rabiu Yadudu on Thursday, August 1, 2019 paid a courtesy visit on Governor of Imo State, Rt Honourable Emeka Ihedioha.
The meeting, which was in continuation of his interaction with critical stakeholders in the aviation industry, was also attended by the Authority’s Directors of Engineering Services, Human Resources and Administration, Airport Operations, General Manager, Procurement, Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport Manager, amongst others.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday July30, 2019, the managing director and his team paid similar visit on thee Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde to discuss areas of collaboration.
In his remarks, Capt Yadudu expressed his appreciation to the Governor and people of Imo State for their hospitality and tremendous support shown to FAAN.
Yadudu who noted that Enugu airport is very strategic to the economic development of the South Eastern region, therefore harped on the need to collaborate to develop infrastructure at the airport.
Highlighting the huge business and tourism potential of the airport, he affirmed that any investment in the airport will be a catalyst for the development of the State and will create employment for the indigenes.
The FAAN CEO therefore assured the Governor of the Authority’s commitment to consolidate its partnership with the State government towards improving on safety and security infrastructures at the airport.
In his response, Governor Ihedioha who thanked the the management of FAAN.D for the visit, expressed the readiness of his government and people of Imo State to continually support the FAAN towards development of critical infrastructure at the airport.
