As the construction of the 10 lane Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos road reached a critical point resulting into traffic gridlock, the management of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has called on all intending passengers using the
airport to leave their homes early to avoid coming late for their flights.
FAAN in a statement through its image maker, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu said the advice has become necessary due to the traffic gridlock experienced by road users along this axis.
“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) hereby advise passengers to leave their homes early, owing to the ongoing reconstruction of the road leading the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
“The Authority appeal to passengers that leaving their homes early
will ensure they get to the airport in good time and go through all
check in formalities with ease,” the statement said.

passengers due to the situation saying, “ the Authority has already
mobilized security agencies to ensure that the situation is effectively managed.
It would be recalled that in September, 2017 Lagos State government, under the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, in collaboration with FAAN began the reconstruction and expansion of the former four lane road from Oshodi area of the state to a ten lane facility.
