The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has reported a temporary power outage at the D Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
Spokesperson of FAAN, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu said it was caused by a minor electric fault.
Yakubu said electricity has since been restored to the terminal.
“FAAN wishes to inform the general public of a temporary power outage at the D Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
“The outage is due to a minor electrical fault.
“Meanwhile, our engineers are already working to rectify the fault and normalcy will be restored soon,”
She however added that no flight was affected by the outage even as she gave the assurance that FAAN would always live to its responsibilities of safe and secured airports under its control.
“The Authority will like to state that the outage did not affect flight operations at the airport, as normal flight operations continues uninterrupted.
“The management would like to assure the general public and airport users of their safety and security and comfort at all times.,” Yakubu assured.
