FAAN recovers 17 vehicles from Ex-officials through ICPC

The synergy between Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and the aviation sector to eradicate corrupt practices in the sector has started yielding positive results when on Tuesday Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) took delivery of seventeen of its vehicles illegally taken away by some of its former officials.

In a statement signed by the General Manager Corporate Communications at FAAN, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu the handing over ceremony was held at the Authority’s headquarters in Lagos.

Yakubu stated that the vehicles were received on behalf of FAAN by  Director of Engineering Services, Engr. Salisu Daura, who represented the Managing Director

Daura who expressed his delight at the partnership between the Authority and ICPC, used the opportunity to thank ICPC for it efforts at ensuring that the vehicles are not only recovered, but handed over to the authority.

He implored the anti corruption agency to continue with the recovery exercise until all vehicles belonging to the authority are handed over.

The keys to the vehicles were thereafter handed over to FAAN  by  Zonal Commissioner, Mr. Shintema P. Binga who represented the Chairman of ICPC at the event.

Also in attendance at the event were FAAN’s Director of Human Resources and Administration, Mr. Honourius Anozie, General Manager, Administration, Mr. Abubakar L. Othman, General Manager, Budget, Mr. Biodun Adegbesan, Deputy General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mrs. Christabel Eromosele, ICPC’s Head of Education, Mrs. Mary Omonoyan amongst others.
