In anticipation of the huge number of air passengers that would turn up at airports under the management of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for departures and arrivals, during the Eid-el Fitri festival, management of the airport authority has assured air passengers that everything has been put in place in the airports to ensure seamless facilitation and good travelling experience during the celebration.
“FAAN hereby assures all airport users that her network of airports across the country is fully ready to receive arriving and departing passengers during the Eid-El-Mubarak celebration”.
Reiterating the core mandate of the airport authority at ensuring seamless passenger facilitation, the General Manager, Corporate Communication at FAAN, Mrs, HenriettaYakubu in a statement said: “FAAN has put in place all necessary facilities and infrastructure to ensure safe passage and a delightful experience at all airports in Nigeria.
Yakubu however advised passengers to always get to the airport on time to avoid the embarrassment of missing their flights in view of the high surge of traffic expected on the roads during the season. She also enjoined airport users to make use of the electronic system when making any financial transaction with FAAN in any of the airports because of the new cashless policy introduced in its network of airports.
“We advise all our esteemed passengers and airport users to always get to the airports early enough as we envisage a surge in traffic. This will enable them to complete their check-in formalities in good time and prevent the embarrassment of missing flights, we will also like to remind all airport users that our airports are now cashless as all payments to the Authority should now be done electronically,” she said.
