APC Governorship Aspirant, Ekiti State

A governorship aspirant of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Dr. Wole Oluyede has submitted that provision of enabling environment would guarantee quality education in the state.
Oluyede who lamented the plight of parents as new academic session began in the state, condemned poor economic situation where parents found it difficult to pay their children’s school fees because of irregular payment of salaries and poor welfare packages for teachers and civil servants.
The aspirant who said self appraisal is not the solution but rather practical approach to the economic challenges in the state, asked “How will parent be able to tackle educational responsibilities of their children in abject poverty?”
The aspirant who welcomed students as they resumed to a new academic session, implored them to show dedication and diligence to their studies.
Insisting that “Poverty is not synonymous to quality education,” the aspirant who posited that “An hungry man is an angry man” expressed his fears on the quality of education hungry teachers, owed eight month salaries, would impact on students.
He stated that nothing can motivate teachers to work better than regular and prompt payment of their dues by the government.
Oluyede therefore urged Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose to adopt a practical approach that would positively address workers’ welfare package, boost their standard of living and in return, ensure high standard of education in the state.
The aspirant who appealed to civil servants and the entire people of the state to be optimistic for a better future as “Ekiti Rebirth is imminent, enjoined them to give him support and opportunity that would enable him take the state to the promised land.
He assured the people of the state that under his administration vibrant economic development awaits Ekiti.
The aspirant promised to reform the state in terms of well structured infrastructural facilities, prompt payment of salaries for workers, attractive welfare packages among other things, if elected as governor in 2018,.
“The natural endowments of Ekiti would be utilized in such a way that Federal Allocation would be a bonus to the state,” he promised.
