By  Adewumi Ademiju, Ado EkitiI

An All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship aspirant  in Ekiti State,  Dr  Wole Oluyede has assured that  the economy of Ekiti State would witness a remarkable improvement if elected as governor in 2018.

Oluyede  gave the assurance while addressing members of the  APC in Ido Osi, the headquarters of Ido Osi Local Government area of the state .

.

The aspirant was reacting to the lamentation of an  APC Youth leader, Dauda Bello  who described the situation of the state as being in “economic slumber,  tantamount  to poor governance.”

Bello who spoke on behalf of other youths from the local government area expressed disappointment in the attitude of politicians who he claimed only believed in “used and dumped”   attitudes.

He noted that escalating problem of unemployment  among the youths in the state has led to high rate of crimes. He alleged that  politicians always  make empty promises to the youths only to  forget  them after winning elections.

The Youth leader who also condemned the attitudes  of some politicians who were in the habit of forgetting youths from the grassroots  after winning elections,  alleged “they imported people from outside to take political appointment when they get to power.”

Responding to the lamentations of the youth leader on the plight of the youths in the areas, Dr. Oluyede said electing him as the governor in Ekiti by 2018 will put an end to any form  of   neglect  the youths might have suffered in the state.

He affirmed that democracy is participatory, he, therefore, assured of an all inclusive government when he mantled the seat of government in the state come 2018.

The aspirant said all the key areas where they have been neglected or not properly taken care of would be addressed.

He equally promised the youths that he would use his connections to attract investment and tackle the menace of unemployment in the state through massive industrialization.

Oluyede who also assured the youths that political appointments would be given to the home based and   that his administration will build a virile party   devoid of      any     interference from government,  noted that  political party would be  made strong enough to bring about  stable and  strong operations

.

The aspirant   therefore reiterated    his commitment   to the wellbeing of Ekiti and promised to correct the abnormality of interference, absence of check and balances that arose from poor governance in the state.

In a similar development, the people of Emure Ekiti  in Emure Local Government  Area of the state have declared their support  for  the aspiration of Dr Wole Oluyede.

Speaking at Emure Ekiti, a woman leader  who said woman development is germane to the development of the state, implored   Dr Oluyede to be focused in the laudable women programmes in his plans for Ekiti.

Also, a youth leader in the area, Osetoba  Oluwatosin  who also  equally lamented  high rate of unemployment  among youths in the state, charged the aspirant  to make his laudable programmes for the youth  accessible to all so that it could  facilitate the anticipated  youth development.

Oluyede, while responding through the Director General, Wole Oluyede Campaign Organization, Honourable Gabriel Ogundele stated that women development would be given adequate attention, adding that, “women are industrious and enterprising.”

Ogundele who agreed that Ekiti State is experiencing the terrible heat in her economy because of bad governance, assured that it would be a thing of the past if Oluyede is voted in as governor of Ekiti State in 2018.

He also assured that “Oluyede will tackle unemployment aggressively” by using his connection to facilitate investment that would yield wealth creation in the state.
