The saying that charity begins at home propels the common feature of great men who always remember their roots  and fall back to their origins.

This was the situation in Ikole Ekiti, the headquarter of Ikole Ekiti Local government area of Ekiti State on Tuesday when the trail of one of the All Progressive Alliance (APC)  governorship aspirants in Ekiti State, Dr. Wole Oluyede arrived at Ikole where he meet his maternal grandparents  in the ancient community.

The relations who were informed of the ambition one of their own, to become the next governor of the state in 2018, gathered to offer prayers for the realization of the aspiration.

At the gathering in Ikole , Dr Oluyede received prayers and blessings from the elders as the youths enthusiastically  chanted praise songs to applaud him.

One of the elders of the community-Chief Femi Aiyegbusi described Dr Oluyede as a  great son of the community and a leader who always make it a priority never to loose contact with his roots.

Other elders in attendance were Chief Filani and  Mr. Mark Adebanjo  among others.
