For Ekiti State to recover from its present development and economic predicaments, everyone that has concerns for the state should begin to support the choice of Dr. Wole Oluyede as the next governor in the state.
The position was made by a former All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker in Ekiti State and the Director General, Dr. Wole Oluyede Campaign Organization, Honourable Gabriel Ogundele.
Ogundele who described the Oluyede as the “Man Ekiti needs now, for development and economic recovery,” while speaking with journalists at the Ado Ekiti campaign office of the aspirant stated that the good people of Ekiti State should support the choice of Dr. Wole Oluyede as the next governor of the state.
The Director General recalled that while Oluyede was going round the world acquiring knowledge and experiences, the aspirant essentially remained a committed Nigerian and an Ekiti man who religiously preserved and nurtured his roots.
He said, “Ekiti has always been central to his intellectuals, material and social investments.” This, according to him, “formed part of the recognition for which he was called to service as a member of the ‘Ekiti Knowledge Zone’- a think – tank set up by the administration of former governor Kayode Fayemi, which harnessed the brightest of the land, to come together to develop a knowledge economy for Ekiti State.”
Ogundele who alluded to an extract, from one of the great works of renowned scholar, Professor Jide Oshuntokun, titled: “’Ekiti Must Not Die on the Day of Destiny.” quoted: ‘’No country today can be developed without external support. The same scenario goes for our state. If we do not have a government headed appropriately by a far seeing person, we will not be able to attract economic development assistance because only the deep can speak to the deep. A governor who is known in and outside the state, who speaks the language of the world, a renaissance man and who is sought after by the haves and have-nots, by billionaires and plebeians for inspirations will be able to attract attentions to our state for the economic upliftment of our people.”
Presenting Oluyede as a man who possesses the aforementioned qualities of the leader who can actualise the sustainable social and economic development Ekiti State has being yearning for, Ogundele therefore, urged all Ekiti people, home and abroad, to rally round the aspirant by supporting him to fly APC’s flag and emerge as the next governor of the state at the 2018 governorship poll.
He added that Oluyede, who worked in many countries across continents, had over the years built extensive international experience and networks that would equip him with the competence and intelligence required for such a position in the public service.
