Tinubu arrives in Lagos

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Friday on a working visit to the former federal capital city as Nigeria prepares for a low-key 65th Independence Anniversary.

Tinubu who arrived in Lagos after attending the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State was received at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos by a host of dignitaries led by Lagos State Governor,  Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy  Bayo Onanuga said  while in Lagos, President Tinubu would meet with players in Nigeria’s private sector and senior government officials.

As part of the Independence anniversary, the President will also commission the remodelled National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, which has been renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.

Onanuga added that the President will visit Imo on Tuesday, September 30, to commission projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma
