Aiyedatiwa reiterates support for small, medium scale enterprises, as Ondo set to host 7th National MSME Summit in Akure

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan said Vice President Kashim Shettima is expected to attend the programme.

This is just as Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated that his administration will continue to offer needed support and conducive environment for small and medium scale enterprises to thrive in the State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, who said his administration disbursed over N220m support to micro and small businesses last year, promised to support MSMEs in the state with patronage.

The Governor stated this on Friday, August 1, 2025, when he received two business owners in Ondo State who recently won the MSME’s awards, hosted by the Presidency in Abuja.

The awardees: Engr. Emmanuel Adewumi of Denki Wires and Cables, Akure, won the Award of Excellence in Manufacturing and Mr. Femi Olufunmiloye of Lafbart Innovations & Consulting Ltd, Akure, won the FIRS Award of Excellence in Tax Compliance.

The Governor congratulated the two awardees for showcasing the State at the national level, commending their business acumen and integrity.

The awardees were led on the visit to the Governor at the Government House by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation, Orioye Gbayisemore.
