Keyamo receives Minister of the Year 2024 awards twice in a week 

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Barrister Festus Keyamo SAN displays his second award as the “Minister of the Year 2024” presented to him at Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island Lagos on Saturday.

 

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, has been honoured once again as The Minister of The Year 2024 by the Board of Editors of The Sun Newspapers.

This prestigious award which was presented to him by Chairman, CIG Motors Limited, Ms. Diana Chen, is his second, withn a week, reinforces his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s aviation sector and his impactful leadership in the industry.

The ceremony, held on Saturday, March 1, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, was attended by top executives from corporate world, oil and gas industry, banking sector, and  political circle, all gathered to celebrate excellence across various sectors.

Accompanying the Minister to the event were top officials from the aviation industry, including: Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana Mni, Capt. Director General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Capt. Chris Najomo, Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku; Director General, Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET), Prof. Charles Anosike

Also present were key agency directors from NCAA and FAAN. On the attendance list were Mrs. Anastasia Gbem – Director of Human Resources, NCAA, Mahmood Abdullah – Director of Operations, FAAN, Captain Mahmood Abdullahi, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mrs Obiageli Orah,  Director of Commercials and Business Development, Debola Agunbiade, Director of Finance, Ayo Olatiregun, Director of Aviation Security, JIgbafe Afegbai, Director of Corporate Services, Jensen Asaba, Director of Special Duties,Henry Agbebire and  Director of Cargo Operations, Lekan Ladipo Thomas

According to a press release by the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Tunde Moshood, the conferment of this second award bearing the same title, underscores the Minister’s exceptional leadership, reforms, and transformative policies in Nigeria’s aviation industry. His tenure has been marked by bold initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and strategic engagements aimed at positioning Nigeria as a global aviation hub.

This latest accolade further cements his reputation as a visionary leader driving the transformation of Nigeria’s aviation landscape.
