Dana Air’s spokesperson, Kingsley Ezenwa, mourns loss of dad

The family of spokesperson for Dana Air, Mr. Kingley Ezenwa has announced the passing and burial of their patriarch, High Chief Edward Nweze Ezenwa.

Pa Ezenwa passed on after a brief illness recently in Lagos  at the age of 85 years.

During a chat with newsmen in Lagos, one of his sons,  Kingsley Ezenwa said that the family members continue to miss their dear dad even as they took consolation in the fact that theur father lived a life worthy of emulation and was accorded a befitting burial deserving of a legend, on October 11, 2024

“Papa lived a fulfilling life, born in Anambra state where he bagged prestigious academic and sports laurels and earned the nickname “horse” and “okalicha” meaning the best among equals. He later moved to Lagos and joined one of Nigeria’s finest paint companies in the 70s International Paint West Africa (IPWA) where he retired as Human Resources Director about 30 years ago.”

“A devout Catholic, Papa cherished his tradition and contributed significantly tto his community’s social development programmes both in Lagos and Anambra, his home state.

He was a lover of social gatherings, comedy and was always fun to be with.

“He is survived by his loving wife, five sons,  grandchildren, brother, and sisters. Papa’s legacy as a great motivator, teacher, loving father and husband will be deeply missed by all who knew him,” Kingsley added.

The public relations specialist thanked all friends, well-wishers, family and colleagues in the aviation industry, the League of Airport  and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) for all their support during the funeral period.

He said that the family has  taken comfort in the outpouring of support and condolences from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers during this difficult time.
