The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has assured Nigerian ai travellers of very seamless travel through its airports this Eid Kabir festive season.
The management in a press statement said it has consistently taken measures to upgrade her security apparatus to ensure safety of life and property of the travelling public .
FAAN, therefore, encourages all travellers to be at the airport early enough to aviid missing their flights as well as reduce rush.
It urged international travellers to be at the airport three hours before departure, while local travellers must arrive about two hours to flight schedule .
It added, “Please ensure that you pack your luggage by yourself. Do not leave your luggage unattended. Keep an eye on your valuables while passing through screening.”
The statement which added that FAAN has expanded the screening area in order to give passengers a better flying experience, also urged motorists dropping or picking passengers to ensure that the park ytheir vehicles properly at the designated car pparks to avoid being towed .
It also warned the passengers against engaging the services of touts .
It will be recalled that the Managing Director Chief Executive of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, at a recent event sent out a severe warnings to staff as well as all government agencies operating at the airports that FAAN will ensure that whoever is culpable is punished.
The statement also admonished passengers not give bribes or encourage extortion, saying, they must respect rules and regulations in respect of carriage of prohibited articles, liquids, and gel.
