Oyo State market leaders seek FAAN’s cooperation on land to build ultra-modern market at Ibadan Airport

Leaders of Oyo State markets women have called on Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria ( FAAN) to allocate a piece of land to them within the land at  Samuel Ladoke  Akintola Airport Ibadan, for the purpose of building what they described as an Ultra-Modern International Market.

The request was made on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 when the leaders of  the group paid a courtesy visit to the Airport Manager, Otunba Afolabi Ojo in his office.

Thec group led by the Asiwaju Iya Oloja General of Oyo State, Mama Juliana Titilola Raimi in the company of one of the daughters of Alaafin of Oyo State, Oba Adeyemi Lamiji (III), the current Iyaloja General of Oyo State,  said it wanted a partnership on where to build an Ultra Modern International Market within the Airport’s land.

The  group caimed that apart from bringing more development around the airport,  the project  would bring more revenue to FAAN.

The Asiwaju Iya Oloja General who claimed that she has been in the affairs of markets in the state since 1985, explained that markets in the Oyo state have been modernised to international Standard.

She  stronglybelieved that  the proposed Market will be a giant leap in the economic development around the airport.
